When a recipe is duplicated it would be nice to have a link back to the original recipe it was duplicated from.
agreed…the automated “recipe copy” function is an admin overhead. but lets face it, in this version thats youre only option right?
Hey @S P ,
Another great suggestion!
We’ve released an update to the web today to include a link back to the original recipe a recipe is cloned from.
This will always link back to the one you cloned from. So if you cloned an already cloned recipe, the link would always take you back to the version you cloned from.
This is still on the list of tasks for our mobile app, but do let us know what you think of it on the web; we can always tweak it further if you think it can be improved upon.
Thanks!
I tested it just now and it looks fine to me. This is exactly what I had in mind. Thank you!

Hi James,
I tested it also. It seems there is no way to remove the link. When I copy a recipe (or template) and do some larger edits, this isn’t longer a copy of the original. Maybe you could also add a delete function, maybe only when a change was made.
Only as a suggestion, other than that all works fine
Hi @Dieter ,
This is somewhat by design.
For you, you would like to be able to disassociate your recipe from the parent in some cases.
For others, they may want the link to be permanently there - regardless of how many changes are made.
Your suggestion of a ‘Delete’ button to optionally remove the link is a decent middle ground.
I’ll add the suggestion to our backlog for the wider team to review and update you here once we get a chance to look at it.

Thanks.
