Many laptops today have bluetooth built in. Would you consider making it possible to control the GF Connect through the web interface on a PC?

Mine works fine but I had to update drivers

yes I just tried this again as I am starting athotehr brew its not working corectly
Where do you find the option to connect to the GF Connect unit in the web interface? I can’t seem to find it.

No this would be on my Droid Max with bluetooth had to do updates so I could log in my pc and they would sync up. https://community.grainfather.com/my-recipes?page=1
This is how I Use them all at the same time. Also website is easy to make me recipes and or changes. Both seem to work fine and updated each other.

GRRRRRRR!!!!
Today I had to cook again without a mobile phone! I had to get out of the garage and the connection to the BT unit was lost and could not be re-established. In the mobile app, there is no option to re-connect. I had to cook the whole recipe without the phone!
Very bad connectivity!
@GRRRRRRR!!!! the same for me, today. We need a visible button with force connect and resume brewing option.
@Shiva Prasad Sorry i’m late but Chistmas.. ;)
Yes I’m using 4.1.21 build1 app version. I’ll ty to make one fake brewday and diagnose a problem with a yellow bar.
My problem with boling is that:
Sometimes (its’ fifty-fifty) temp on the display GF stops in 99 celsius constans, but in fact water is boiling (bubble up very hard) but GF don’t go to boilng step. I must go to the next step manually with app and then lower the power to stop bubbling. So this is important for me.
I live about 350m meters above sea level, so I did not correct this setting. Usually if higher (at lower pressure) water boils in lower temperature… If boiling temp is higher than 100 celsius thats you say, I would have to live underwater..? ;)
So, did you mean that I may try to set lower temperature in optons, yes? (anyway i will try - can I put there a fraction or integer only?)
Thanks for advice Shiva!

@yorg
Yes, you are right you’ll have to set a lower boil temperature if you’re living above sea level and you can enter a number with decimal point there, for example: 95.5
Hope you had a merry Christmas ^_^

@Beerus Fanaticus
From the next version of the app you’ll be able to see the Supplier name when you pick a fermentable.
The actual wordings and representation of it is subject to change.
But I hope this will help :)

Hi Shiva
The color in recipes such as Vienna Lager is still the same green-brown, malt is still difficult to find. (see picture).
Why do I have to flip through all 20 malt producers of Viennese malt before I can find mine? I would only like to look for manufacturers that are offered in my country. I’m certainly not interested in malts that are sold in Italy or Canada, or in South America.
I don’t want them on offer.
You can do something about it?

@Beerus Fanaticus
Thanks for this ticket, I’m discussing this with the team.
On the mobile app, at-least for Hops selection, we’re already grouping it by Country name. I’ll discuss with the team about doing this for Fermentables, and include it in the web app.
would it be useful to have a filter selector for the country?

Hi Shiva
But with hops it’s probably different. For example, in the Czech Republic you can buy hops from all over the world. I can choose from almost 80 types of hops.
http://hopproducts.cz/eshop/
And with yeast, it is quite similar.

please include new Czech hops:
MOST……. 7.5 - 9.5 …..(alfa)
SAAZ LATE ……. 3,5-6
BOOMERANG …..10-14
BOHEMIA ………..4 - 8
GAIA ………………12-15
CASCADE CZ ….. 5 -8
HARMONIE ……….4-8
SAAZ SPECIAL ….4 - 8

@Beerus Fanaticus
Thanks for reporting the new hops.
I’ve notified the concerned person and we’ll add it asap, but till then we also support adding custom Hops, fermentables and yeasts, so you should be able to add them right away.
