HI @Dieter,

We released an update to this today, that addresses this somewhat; recipe filtering.

We gave this suggestion some thought, along with other feedback we received, and the common issue was that people were searching for specific recipes and having trouble finding them.

To this effect, we added the ability to filter your ‘My Recipes’ as you can on the ‘Find recipes’ page.

Check it out and let me know what you think - additionally, if you still see value in being able to specify the sorting method then let me know and we can keep this on the list to add!

Hi James,
I like the filter option and I think it’s very useful for brewers who have alot recipes. (BTW, the ABV value of max 100 is to high and makes it hard to set a value of 5. 20 as a max would be fine)

In my opinion you should additionally add the sort function, so I see the recipes of most interest first.
The sort would also useful in the ‘Find Recipes’ page and then both pages would look somehow similar.

the App has 0 to 20.00 now and works great.
But for some feed back look we have burban porters that reach 11+ ABV and some higher. to have set at 5.20 max would be crazy.
I have IPA’s that reach 6.7 and Stout’s that are 6.5-9.8 ABV. and Doing a Loger as we speaks that is 8.7. My opinion
1.00- 20.00 Search for ABV is fine. Search with High and low number makes searching easier.

Hi @Keith Moore,

The ‘Find Recipes’ and ‘My Recipes’ filters have both been updated recently to have an ABV range between 0 and 20 - feel free to check this out and let me know your thoughts.

@Dieter I’ll put the ‘sort’ functionality to our backlog for our wider team to review.

Thanks!

@Dean Squires
I made a video to show you how to Pin recipes using quick actions :)

Please take a look

Please note that Quick Actions feature is only available on the Mobile App.

That explains it all, I never edit or do anything with GF on my phone, only on my computer, and just call up the recipe on my phone when brewing only……I just don’t understand why this can’t be done online at the web site!

Since on the website you can simply create a bookmark to the recipe or any page you want, we decided that quick actions on the web won’t be useful.
If you still think that quick actions on the web is something that you might use, please create a New post here asking to bring quick actions feature to the web. We’ll consider implementing it based on how many users up vote it :)

We’re currently working on other improvements and features for the app based on the posts that have been upvoted on nolt.

Also if you want a button on the web that can pin the recipe to quick actions on the app,
This is possible actually.
Would it help you to have an option like that in the recipe tools options on the web?

I would not hav thought that the web version and phone version would have been different…the thought of typing a whole recipe on my phone would probably make me want to find something other than GF. So, yes any and all tools that are available on the phone should be available on web version and vise versa. Making a pin the recipe on web version would make me stop deleting recipes in order to keep the few I actually do brew on top.

@Dean Squires Thanks for your feedback, I’ll relay this to the team.

Hi, Dieter is right, I have also longed to be able to sort recipes but also search according to these criteria, and I would add a search according to top and bottom fermentation.
Because when you’re looking for a recipe for bottom fermentation, for example, you have to open each recipe to learn more.

@Beerus Fanaticus
With the addition of the Recipe Tags feature, now you can add tags to your recipes like “Top Fermenting”, “Bottom Fermenting” for example,
and later you can easily access all your top fermenting recipes using the new Recipes Filter.
