Currently this platform is for suggestions, but there should be a similar way to report problems. Rather to report problems via email and the development team gets many the same problem.
They wont do it, i asked they replied that this is for people that want to talk about upcoming innovations. But it really shows that theyre willing to ask what”the brwing problems are” and come up with “solutions” but make support disjointed.
The item “grainfather” product is nearly excellent. The support model is total junk. They still insist you email them directly with any issue but discuss directly here about “features” and thats becease they are using a cloud based model. Theyre not innovators of their support model, they just make a bloody good system but dont really know the customer base. Super shame, because they could win at both.
I just left a detailed list of all the problems of my first brew day with the new app, ie: it didn’t work at all. It took me half an hour to write. They deleted it less than an hour later.

The team are certainly working through the many constructive proposals given on the forum. Some have been implemented and the dialogue has been helpfull and in the spirit of engagement. We welcome and invite your and anyones feedback. Abuse towards the team will not be tolerated.
Finally, a dialogue. Thank you, Rudi.
I absolutely refute the idea that I hurled abuse at anyone. I had absolutely no one to abuse.
I, and many others, are beyond frustrated at how the app just plain does NOT work. We are longtime supporters of iMake, both financially and spiritually, in the fact that we recommend products both in our individual communities and online. I have done so for absolute years, and happily so.
It is beyond frustrating on an already long brew day to have our tried and true software fail us on such a detrimental level. Needlessly so. You must understand what it’s like to have something that worked so beautifully well for so long turned into a train wreck of inconceivable proportions. I happily gave up my time to help with the development of the last app. That’s how invested I have been in the whole process.
The Grainfather is a beautiful piece of equipment and the software is currently turning it into a liability.
Can we PLEASE have a roll back of versions untill at least even the basic bugs are sorted out?
We brew all grain beer. On an expensive, but great bit of equipment. That’s it.
Thank you very much for responding.

11 days without a response to my email, Rudi.
Hi El Jefe. We have received your response. Rudi is currently on annual leave but our customer support team has responded and is happy to assist you. You can reply to our email with the details of your issue. Thanks.
TYhe rest of us would love to hear the fixes and workarounds. I had a big brew day planned and for it not to run the timer was a blow to my day. Thank goodness for Brewfather.
why not a normal forum where you can post your ideas but also questions. Other members can reply and also employees of Grainfather. Als laptops brands have such a forum and it helps to sort out quickly new problems.
@El Jefe
Feel free to use this forum to report brewing issues,
And just mention “ @Shiva Prasad“ in there so that I get notified of it. As one of the developers of the app, it is my job to kick bugs out of the system, I’ll do everything I can to improve the brewing experience for you.
You can also use this forum to ask questions about the app. Some other users have used this forum to report brewing issues with the app, and I’ve helped them whenever I came across such a thread. Looking forward to hearing from you :)
