Subtractable inventory#106

I would like to be able to set my inventory of malt, hops and whatever. Then, when starting a new brew, the components of the recipie would be subtracted from the inventory. In that way I would always know whats in my pantry when designing a new recipie.

Just a thought, but this could also allow you to browse existing recipes based on your inventory contents too. Might be cool way to discover new styles and whatnot. For the moment, have to use google sheets, and manually try and remember to deduct things. But yeah, Grainfather, give us an Inventory tab!

Ditto. I also use google sheets to track inventory. It can be a time consuming process checking and matching ingredients and ordering short-falls in advance for multiple brew days. I usually forget to adjust something afterwards and loose track of what I have. Generating a shopping list for your LHBS relative to what you need rather than the whole recipe would be excellent too.

The only reason I use Brewfather alongside GF app now is for inventory control, having a good list of what I have, what its use by date is, costs, supplier, specific AA% for for hops, and EBC values etc is very handy to have in an electronic form. I manage all recipes and brewcontrol with GF, it’s just this one function keeping my BrewFather subscription alive.
